ADVANCEMENTS IN CREDIT CARD FRAUD DETECTION: A COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW

Abstract
Credit card fraud remains a significant challenge for financial institutions and consumers alike. As fraudulent activities evolve, there is a growing need for advanced fraud detection techniques to safeguard transactions and mitigate financial losses. This paper provides a comprehensive review of recent advancements in credit card fraud detection methodologies, highlighting machine learning algorithms, data pre-processing techniques, and emerging technologies. Additionally, the paper discusses challenges in fraud detection, such as imbalanced datasets and adversarial attacks, and proposes future research directions to address these challenges
